Today is the First Day of the rest of your life.

This is a new beginning. I have not been able to communicate on my blog because our son passed away. He is the type of child we all have that we pray for continually that they will come to know the Lord. We do not see the results in their life but Jesus does. He was battling a long time with problems with his lungs, which were self-induced with smoking. As his health failed, we tried to minister the best we could. By faith we held on to the promises of God that our prayers would be answered in God's perfect timing. My prayer was that God could do whatever it would take to bring him to the reality of Jesus. My prayers were answered because toward the end, we had a chance to say much needed dialog that had been avoided for many years. We were all able to say "Forgive me, I am sorry". We all responded with, "I forgive you" from all of us. Shortly after that, he took his last breath and we have the comfort of knowing he is with the Lord. This is our new beginning, the first day of the rest of our lives.
