“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you.” James 4:7-8 NIV.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation-whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life-of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; thought war break our against me, even then will I be confident.” Psalms 27:1-3 NIV.
“I am God, the God of your father,” he said, ‘Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surly bring you back again.” Gen.46:3-4 NIV.
Trust God so you can move past your fear. It is not easy, so just keep praising the Lord when you feel the fear start to come over you. Also, you can tell Satan to go back to hell. Tell him to get behind you so you can move forward. I will be praying for you.
Answer: First, you have to recognize where the fear is coming from. It is coming from Satan. He is the liar that is trying to get you to focus on the fact that you are afraid. You have gone through a difficult situation, and you feel alone. No one knows how you feel but Jesus. We have such an intimate relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, they can get deep into your soul. Pain does have a purpose, it can help you make difficult decisions and force you to stand up for yourself. Your insecurity about life could be that you do not trust yourself because you have made mistakes. It is very difficult not to fear anything because then I think you are lying to yourself. You need to put the fear in perspective. God knows your fears and He wants to take them from you. He wants you to turn them over to Him. That means, take your hands off.
